Poetry in Motion
Slowly, albeit very slowly, people are cautiously (some foolishly not so) beginning to move around more. At the beginning of May (Can you remember? It was very much like April.) Margery Hookings asked for people to contact her and submit two lines of words expressing what the lockdown in our village has specifically meant for you. Your lines could be about things you’ve missed during this crisis or what has kept you going. Strange things. Wonderful things. Unexpected things. Your lines can be as sad, funny, banal or interesting as you like. The lines won’t be attributed to individuals so you can also say what you like, within the confines of decency and taste. of course!
Please send them to Margery, either by email or direct message her via her Maddie Grigg Facebook page so she can put them together into a poem.

It’s all gone a bit quiet in the village since The Sound of Music Through The Square Window ended on Sunday but that doesn’t stop the music!
Villager,Simon Emmerson and his band, The Afro Celt Sound System have produced a delightful reel designed to lift your spirits and lighten your hearts in these dark and fractious times. Enjoy and feel free to share the YouTube video.
