Master Margery With Merit

Congratulations go to village resident Margery Hookings on her academic achievement. Margery recently gained her degree ‘Master of Arts in Creative Writing with Merit’ through the Open University.

Margery is the editor of the Broadwindsor News, the monthly parish magazine for the Beaminster Area Team Ministry and regularly contributes to the ‘People’s Friend‘ publication as Maddie Grigg.  She is on the Steering Group committee and has been campaigning hard, and successfully with many others, for the Save The White Lion Crowdfunder.

Margery is also leading the village project, The Place I Love on Saturday, 12th February which includes the unveiling of our new village map.
