Next Friday, 21st May Film Club members will be able to go to the Comrades Hall and watch Dame Helen Mirren & Sir Ian McKellen star in The Good Liar (more below).
It is only £20/year (£15 if you’re over 65 yrs.) to join Broadwindsor’s Film Club. They are halfway through their subscription year, renewals being in November 2021. New members are very welcome and can join at any time throughout the year. Due to people moving and leaving the village, the Film Club desperately need some people to join their small team.

The Good Liar (15) – directed by Bill Condon
Dame Helen Mirren and Sir Ian McKellen star together on screen for the first time in this suspenseful drama about the secrets people keep and the lies they live.
The Good Liar sees career con man, Roy (Ian McKellen) set his sights on recently widowed Betty (Helen Mirren), who is worth millions. He means to take it all but as the two draw closer, what should have been another simple swindle takes on the ultimate stakes.
Russell Tovey and Jim Carter also star alongside.
- Film starts at 7.30pm.
- No fee for members. Guests not permitted at this time.
- No refreshments will be served but they hope that will be different in June.
- Seating is marked out to adhere to Covid-19 regulations and social distancing.
- Seating is limited to 30 people.
- Please wear your mask when entering and exiting the hall.
