Please support our young farmer, Matt Frampton.
As Vikki and Spike from the White Lion will tell you – any Young Farmers fundraising always involves an obviously good party and a healthy amount of alcohol, but in these difficult times the Dorset YFC members have decided to hold a Quiz fundraiser for Matt’s chosen charity “Orchid” who research and raise awareness of all male cancers.
In late December 2019 Matt Frampton was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and had surgery on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately in March 2020 a CT scan confirmed that it had spread and have 3 secondary tumours rapidly growing on his lung and he started 9 weeks of chemotherapy, under the care of the oncology team at Southampton.
The YFC are raising funds to show support for their Dorset Federation of Young Farmers County Chairman, Matt Frampton.

Preparing Vulnerable Students to Return to School.
From the week commencing 1 June 2020 at the earliest, the Government will be asking primary schools to welcome back children in nursery, reception, year 1 and year 6, alongside priority groups (vulnerable children and critical worker children).
From the week commencing 15 June 2020 at the earliest, they will ask secondary schools, sixth form and further education colleges to offer some face-to-face support to supplement the remote education of year 10 and year 12 students who are due to take key exams next year, alongside the full time provision they are offering to priority groups.
As settings prepare for wider opening, this guidance provides information on provision for children and young people with Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans and others with complex needs, such as children and young people with special educational needs and disability (SEND) who do not have an EHC plan, but for whom the educational setting or local authority has exercised its discretion to do a risk assessment and offer a place at an educational setting.
