Bernards’ Place Trough Now Filled

The village trough in Bernards’ Pace has now been planted up.  Chairman of the Comrades Hall Committee, David Leader (pictured on the left) said:

“Most of the plants were donated by Colin and Valerie Lawrence from Burstock for which we are incredibly grateful. A few including bulbs were sourced from Little Groves, Beaminster at a discounted price.  We are going to plant some bulbs in front of the picket fence by the pump to add to the visual appearance.”

“This is a Comrades Hall committee initiative to improve the appearance of Bernard’s Place, this is just the start of a long plan of improvements.

Huge thanks goes to Ruth Stevens (centre) who has volunteered to take on the ongoing care for the trough and Morgan Napier (right) for helping out at every stage of the venture.”

Well done everybody!
