Broadwindsor Coffee Club News

The new service times for Broadwindsor Post Office are:

Mondays 12.15 – 1.15pm &
Thursdays 9.15 – 10.45am

The P.O. mobile van is here for a shorter time than we have been used to and every effort is being made for the the new Post Office change to run smoothly. Please, during this transition period, patience and cooperation is required at times but customers can be assured that no one has to wait outside in the wet/cold… Seating and warmth is available in the Comrades Hall Foyer, with you looking after your turn. This will also help with establishing a queuing system at very busy times.
To coincide with the new hours, you’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy fresh coffee or tea and the chance for a chat in in the warmth of the Servery inside Comrades Hall on:

Mondays from 11.00am to 1.30pm &
Thursdays from 9.00 am to 11.00am

A date for your diary: Monday, December 18^th– there will be mulled wine, sausage rolls, mince pies, etc. to celebrate the Christmas season along with a raffle for a hamper. The Comrades Hall 100 Club December draw will also be held that morning.

More Volunteers are needed to keep this social aspect around the PO visit going by manning a coffee pot and chatting for an hour or two! Please come along and offer your help 🙂

Christmas Fayre & Coffee This Saturday

Organised by and raising funds for ‘The 3 churches’: Broadwindsor, Burstock and Blackdown.

This Christmas Coffee morning starts at 10.15am and offers stalls, crafts, Christmas treats, cakes, bric-a brac, tombola, books….. and of course a raffle! Ends at 12.15pm.
Your £2 entry fee includes a drink with a mince pie 🙂

Wobbly Cottage Bakery Relocates To Village Square

In 2 weeks time Rich and Dani will be closing the doors of their little bakery at Redlands Yard. Fear not they say, as they will be making a return just down the road in a very exciting new space in the heart of Broadwindsor.

They are currently working very hard on turning The Old Post Office (the old village shop) into their brand new bakery and the space has bags of potential. There will be new bakes, cakes and pastries as well as Local Honey, Beewrapuk will be back in stock plus so much more…
They also have a coffee machine incoming!

They hope to be back open by the second week in October, but with all things that require building works, this has to be fluid. Follow them on their Facebook page for updates and progress – clcik HERE.

After closing due to Covid issues in the kitchen, Linda Paget and her team are pleased to announce they are open again from today 🙂

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event in partnership with M&S and sponsored by Zalando, Nescafe and Betty Crocker.
The official date for Coffee Morning is Friday 25 September, but you can hold yours whenever you like. Small or big, tea or coffee, socially distanced or virtual – Coffee Morning is what you make it. Last year the amount raised was £27,461,814.00.
