Thanks To The Knapp Inn…

Well done to The Knapp Inn in Beaminster for raising funds for Dorset Air Ambulance, an essential service for those of us living in rural and coastal areas.

As well as collection boxes around the bar, funds are regularly donated through the pub’s weekly ‘Meat Draw‘ on Friday evenings.
Customers can purchase a £1 ticket anytime throughout the week. Tickets are drawn at 6pm on the Friday and meat prizes distributed forthwith.
The £280 shown was over a six week period 🙂


This Freehouse offering a selection of Real Ales, shows both Sky & BT Sports & is open 7 days a week, 12 noon – 11pm.

The Knapp Inn is also supporting Broadwindsor’s Oak Apple Celebrations by hosting a BBQ, fun events and live music at Broadwindsor’s Cricket Pavilion on Friday, 30th May.  More details to follow…

Watch The Gypsy King At The Knapp Inn

There is much suspense and anticipation, Tyson ‘The Gypsy King’ Fury is set to defend his heavyweight crown against top contender Dillian Whyte on 23rd April at Wembley Stadium,

To watch the match – one would need to have BT Sports and then pay an additional £24.95.
Alternatively, one could go to the Knapp Inn at Clay Lane, Beaminster, enjoy a drink and watch with some sporting atmosphere!

  • Tyson Fury (22 KOs), based in Morecambe, has held the heavyweight title since November 28th, 2015, the night he ended the nearly decade-long championship run of Wladimir Klitschko. He fights on home soil for the first time in almost four years.
  • Dillian Whyte (KOs), who was raised in Brixton, London, earned a shot at Fury with a seven-year run as a world-level heavyweight.

Around 94,000 fans are expected to pack into Wembley Stadium.
Ring walks for the main event are expected any time between 9.45pm and 10.15pm – although the unpredictable nature of live boxing means this could be subject to change.
