Party Time At The White Lion Community Pub

Get your voices ready and festive dancing shoes on at The White Lion Community Pub this festive season!

 

Starting with the village Christmas tree lights being switched on at 6.30pm on Wednesday 4th… This will be followed by Christmas carols and mince pies in the pub 🙂

 

On Saturday, 14th – the pub plays host to a traditional Christmas play performed by the Symondsbury Mummers at 8pm.

 


On Saturday, 21st is the pub’s Christmas Party!  This is a ticket event, costing £6 per person and they’ll be available from both the village shop and the pub. They are very lucky to have secured one of the South Coast’s premier function bands to entertain us! They are a trio from Bournemouth who play party songs from the ’60s through to present day. 🙂

 

On Tuesday, 31st to bring the New Year in it’s “Goin’ Large with DJ Marge!” – Margery Hookings will be DJ-ing through until the early hours. 🙂

 

They have their Early Bird Menu available Wed-Sat from 5:30pm to 7pm along with Happy Hour from 6pm – 7pm.

New Menus At The White Lion

Beginning this evening, Saturday, 21st, The White Lion are introducing an ‘Early Bird’ menu for diners between 5.30pm & 7pm, Wednesday through ‘til Saturday. This is before and during the pub’s Happy Hour, 6-7pm.

The main menu will run alongside and continue after the Early Bird menu.

On Sundays, there is the one menu offering a selection of delicious roasts…

The White Lion’s Full Regular Menu!

Here at last! The full regular menu on offer at The White Lion in Broadwindsor…

There’s no doubt delicious food comes out of the newly equipped kitchen from manager Kate Staff and her daughter Louise. Above is their regular menu to be served on Thursdays to Saturdays, from 6-9pm, when daily specials will also be available.
A choice of roasts are available on Sundays.

Please book in advance if you can, to enable them to plan ahead and for you to avoid any disappointment.

Kate’s doing her home-made pies and puddings starting tonight, Thursday, 9th and delicious roasts this coming on Sunday, 12th.
It’s bookings only at the moment, while they get the hang of things, but they’d love to see you.
Choose from:
  • Steak and Ale pie £11
  • Chicken pie £10
  • A Veggie pie of Cheese and Leek £8

The Desserts offered will be:

  • Cheesecake £6.50
  • Sticky Toffee Pudding £6.50
  • Eton Mess £5.50

Gluten-free options will be available but you need to request these at the time of booking.

This Sunday, you can choose from te following roasts:
  • Beef £13.00
  • Chicken £12.50
  • A Nut Roast £11.00
