Bridport Covid Vaccination Clinic – Saturday 8th May

Bridport Medical Centre – now under the new name of ‘Ammonite Bridport‘ have issued this statement for those due to attend their Covid Vaccination Clinic this Saturday, 8th May.
The weather on Saturday is predicted to be heavy rain all day.
The field behind the medical centre is not available on Saturday due to weather conditions and marshal availability.
Parking at the medical centre is extremely limited and will STRICTLY allocated to BLUE BADGE holders.
Please either park in and around Bridport and walk to the clinic or ask a member of your COVID “bubble” to drop you off/pick you up.
Whilst we do everything possible to minimise waits, queues do often spill outside.
Please come prepared for bad weather.
**THIS IS AN URGENT UPDATE – PLEASE SHARE WIDELY**

Vaccination Update From Barton House Medical Practice

Our next vaccination session will be FRIDAY 2nd APRIL (yes, Good Friday 🙄 as the vaccine will expire otherwise!)
We will be inviting patients for the second dose of their Pfizer vaccine.
Patients who are due their next PFIZER vaccine (11-12 weeks after their first), who have not been contacted, may contact the booking call centre on 01308 808714 where a member of the PCN team will be available to assist.
PLEASE do not call the surgery as this will block our lines; patients will be contacted by text/phone by our Primary Care Network booking team.
Please refer to the Jurassic Coast Primary Care Network website (look for the Coronavirus “box” on the front page) for important information on what to expect on the day including important vaccine-specific information we would ask you to read prior to the appointment.
PLEASE do ensure you are prepared for the visit, particularly regarding parking at the BMC site. We have volunteer marshals throughout the site to ensure patients are looked after from start to finish.
We are expecting the weather to be mostly cooler but with a bit of sunshine 🌤. We will try all we can to minimise queues spilling to outside but please do come dressed for all weathers.
We will also be collecting for “The Cowshed at number 17“, Bridport Health and Wellbeing Champions’ allotment space behind the medical centre – all donations welcome, look out for the blue buckets!
THANKS ALL!

COVID Vaccine at Bridport Wednesday, 6th Jan

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.

The Covid vaccine clinic is still on this week at Bridport Medical Centre: on Wednesday 6 January. This is for patients who had their first vaccine on 16.12.20 . They have not been given enough warning by NHSE to cancel and rebook the clinic.
They will be ensuring future clinics will be arranged with up to 12 weeks between vaccine doses as per the change in guidance from NHS England. As a result they will be contacting those patients already booked in for their second vaccine on 20.1.21 to rearrange.
They will be inviting all patients in their network in the order of priority on the Gov.uk website, so please do not worry if you have not heard anything yet as they have not yet managed to call all of their patients who are over 80.
As you can understand this is a huge task to arrange whilst still continuing with all of their usual work so please bear with them – they endeavour to work hard and efficiently to provide a successful Covid vaccination programme in 2021.
If you are going to have your vaccination at Bridport Medical Centre, taking someone or know someone that is going that might not see this post – Please can you ensure you/they don’t arrive until 5mins before the slot. There has been a few issues with parking which has partly been down to people arriving early to their appointments.

Stay Safe!
