Chairman of Broadwindsor Fun Group, Adrian Gray received the letter shown after a £200 donation was made to Beaminster’s Food bank from profits from this year’s Jubilee events.
A further £200 was donated to Bridport’s Citizen Advice Bureau.
With the coronation set for Saturday, 6th May, the group will be posting a questionnaire through villager’s letterboxes asking the local community what they want for a Fun Day in 2023. Please be sure to respond!
The team at the local food bank in Beaminster were delighted to receive products given at cost by Broadwindsor’s Community shop.
Kevin Madder-Smith, manager at Broadwindsor Community Stores had the forethought to contact Beaminster Food Bank to ask which items they were in short supply of before purchasing their list through the shop’s wholesaler 🙂
A big thank you to all involved…
Reverend Jo Neary and the food bank volunteers who coordinated with the shop’s team, but most of all, you, the customers for your spare change. The contents of the pink piggy bank which sits by the till was turned into essentials which the food bank lacked and little treats for local families in need.
