At the start of the Half term holiday, Broadwindsor Community Film Club’s February offering is ‘Cruella’ (12)

Directed by Craig Gillespie and starring: Emma Stone, Emman Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, Kirby howell-Baptiste , Mark Strong & John McCrea. 

Emma Stone stars as one of cinema’s most notorious and stylish villains, Cruella de Vil.  Determined to become a successful fashion designer, a creative young grifter named Estella (Stone) teams with a pair of mischievous thieves to survive on the London streets.  But when her flair for fashion catches the eye of the legendary designer Baroness von Hellman (Emma Thompson), Estella rises to become the raucous, revenge-bent “Cruella”.

Broadwindsor Film Club – Friday, 21st January ’22

Broadwindsor Community Film club begins the new year with “Respect” (12).

Directed by Liesl Tommy and starring Jennifer Hudson with Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Marc Maron. Tituss Burgess and Mary J. Blige the film follows the rise of Aretha Franklin‘s career from a young child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom. “Respect” is the remarkable true story of the music icon’s journey to find her voice and become the Queen of Soul.
