Broadwindsor Cricket Club Update & Fixtures

Broadwindsor Cricket Club have a lot going on before matches begin on May 1st.

They are busy readying the ground for the upcoming season with work starting on finally finishing the pavilion in the next couple of weeks. Solar panels are being fitted in March which will provide power for lights and hot water for showers.

They are also trying to have the speed limit reduced from 60-40 mph outside the ground entrance.  They then hope to negotiate and agree with Robert Tolley about renting the corner of his field for a new car park area.

Following the success of last year’s Fireworks event with Broadwindsor Fun Group, Broadwindsor Cricket Club will host the Fireworks event again later this year and are meeting with Andrew Hookings to discuss all the issues involved.

Supporters are always welcome and they have cold beers/ Lagers/ ciders and soft drinks for sale for those warm sunny afternoons.

Here are their fixtures for 2022 which can be downloaded as a pdf document for printing HERE.

Broadwindsor Skittles Needs You!

Broadwindsor’s Skittles Club are planning to start playing skittles in the Comrades Hall again.  To begin with, it will be only one Thursday a month (which as yet is undecided!). Plus, they need to drum up interest as they currently do not have enough members.

They are a small friendly club meeting at 7.30pm once a month on a Thursday (TBA) in the Lewesdon Room upstairs at Comrades Hall.  Playing for enjoyment rather than competitively.

They are looking to resume the club, but need more players.  No previous skittling required!  Go along and have a try for free and join the club if you like it.

Only a few £ to play to cover the costs of hire 🙂

Please register your interest/get details from Emma at broadwindsorem@gmail.com.
