Broadwindsor’s Talent Showcase

There was standing room only on Sunday, 19th June when the following artists took to the Comrades Hall stage and delivered an afternoon of wonderful entertainment in the Broadwindsor Fun Group project ‘Broadwindsor’s Got Talent 2023‘.

Chrissie Miller, president of the W.I. acted as MC for the event. It began with a story from Ali about chocolate cake…

The W.I. then presented ‘The Three Ages of Women‘…

Oscar and Fin performed showing their drumming and keyboard skills…

The first half closed with the children from Broadwindsor School...

The second half opened with ‘A Charming Affair‘ performed by Camille, Rita, Izzy & John…

Peter the Poet performed a rendition of his work…

Then we had Rob Fry & his girls…

The afternoon closed with the audience joining in with ‘A Little Help From My Friends‘…

Outgoing Chairman, Adrian Gray thanked those involved…

The Fun Group Talent Show – Sunday, 11th June

Rehearsals are already taking place behind closed doors for this joyful, entertaining event taking place on the Sunday afternoon of 11th June.

Tickets are now on sale at £3, which includes a drink, Under 16’s are free, available exclusively from Broadwindsor Community Stores.

Broadwindsor Fun Group’s Talent Show – Sunday, 11th June

Showcasing the talent that lies within our village, as the programme is filling up and coming together, this is the last call to anyone who would like to take part but hasn’t contacted the Fun Group yet.

The event takes place 5 – 7pm on Sunday, 11th June at The Comrades Hall with a rehearsal planned for Sunday, 21st May at 12.30pm.

Talent is not restricted to performances of song, music and comedy – visual artists are also invited to be included in a display of their artwork.

Over 60’s Meeting – Thursday, 26th January At 2.15pm

Tomorrow, Thursday 26th the Over 60’s Group are having their first meeting of the year at 2.15pm in The Comrades Hall.

Always with a tea or coffee, the group frequently invite a speaker of interest and in the summer, enjoy coach trips out.

Annual Parish Meeting – Tuesday, 24th May At 7pm

Broadwindsor Group Parish Council are holding their Annual Parish Meeting at the Comrades Hall, 7pm, on Tuesday, 24th May.

They invite all community groups and organisations within the Grouped Parish to join them and share your wonderful achievements and indeed, challenges of the past year. This is a great opportunity to hear about the fantastic things happening in our community and to have a good chat over a cup of tea and some delicious home bakes.
