Village resident Jacqualyne Sewell has now gathered nearly a blanket box full of Bunting Triangles for the village’s Jubilee Fun Day celebrations.
As much bunting as possible is being made to decorate the village for Broadwindsor Fun Group‘s Jubilee celebrations at the start of June.
However with what’s going on in Ukraine, she is asking if anyone has any Blue / Yellow fabric that they could donate for them to make Bunting Triangles to show our support – please contact Jacqui if you can help – 01308 867145
There are two workshops remaining:
All the workshops take place at the Comrades Hall during Post Office hours, 10am – 12.30pm.
If you can help by donating fabric (cotton or poly cotton) cutting out, sewing or even just turning the triangles the right way out & ironing them please contact Jacqui on 01308 867145.

The National Trust’s Coordinator has sent this message regarding tomorrow’s event on Lewesdon Hill:
We are looking forward to seeing the community at Lewesdon Hill tomorrow for the memorial service of the Lost Pilot.
Whilst the weather is looking like its going to be dry please be aware that the ground is still very, very wet and muddy and so for this reason please wear suitable, waterproof boots and wellingtons. Also, if possible please plan to walk from the village as opposed to driving as the field we allocated for parking is very damp and we want to limit (where possible) the number of cars traveling across it.
Thank you for your understanding.
Marshalls will be in attendance and there will be a tractor with a trailer to take people unable to walk up the hill to the memorial site.
Read more about the event HERE.

As many will be aware the T-shirt logo poll closed recently with the slogan ‘Where Community Matters‘ receiving the most votes. There were 2,768 votes cast with the winner receiving nearly 30% of them.
The sponsor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has stated that a small company StuartAusten.co.uk has been asked to research how and where the T-shirts can be produced.
Originally, the sponsor had stated that any profits for the sale of the T-shirts should be put forward to support the Save the White Lion fund. However, given the fact that this worthy cause has exceeded its target, it has been decided that the profits will go towards the purchase of a memorial for those lost in conflict. At present no external memorial exists in the village.
T-shirts will be £15 and the size chart is below:

If you have any questions or orders, please contact my private e mail: chagoigray@gmail.com putting T-shirt in the subject title.
Thank you.
Adrian Gray.

Purple, green and white are the colours of International Women’s Day.
The colours originated from the colours worn by the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) in the UK in 1908.
International Women’s Day was first established at the 1910 International Socialist Women’s Conference in Copenhagen. German women’s rights activist and Marxist theorist Clara Zetkin was the one who tabled the idea 🙂
Let’s not forget International Men’s Day… This event is on Saturday, 19th November 2022 and

Hopefully, his/her owner will recognise the photo and they’ll be reunited and the cat cared for.
