Broadwindsor Group Parish Council – AGM

Broadwindsor’s Group Parish Council held their AGM earlier tonight, 9th May at Drimpton Village Hall.

Rowland Hibbard was re-elected as Chair & Jacqui Sewell was elected as Vice Chair.

Representatives were also appointed for:

  2. Blackdown, Comrades Hall and Drimpton Village Hall Committees
  3. Broadwindsor Community Sports Field
  4. Broadwindsor Allotment Group
  5. Footpaths Officer
  6. DAPTC Western Area Committee

Rescheduled: Broadwindsor Group Parish Council Meeting – Monday, 21st March 2022

Unfortunately due to COVID-19, next week’s Parish Council meeting has had to be rescheduled to Monday 21 March at Blackdown Village Hall. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Do get in touch if you have any questions or concerns about this change.

Recording activity should be respectful to the conduct of the meeting and behavious that disrupts the meeting (such as oral commentary) will not be permitted.  Any member of the public shall not speak for more than five minutes.  A question asked by a member of the public during Public Participation shall not require a response or debate during the meeting though the Chairman may direct that a written response will be provided subsequent to the meeting.

Urgent Appeal By Dorset Police – Man Now Found

Police appeal to locate 51-year-old Bridport man – missing this afternoon in his Audi Q5
An appeal has been launched to locate missing Mike Long
Dorset Police were called at 1.44pm today after Mike had just left an address in the town
They are worried about Mike’s welfare and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
– Mike is driving his grey Audi Q5 with the registration GO 10 NGY.
– He is five feet two inches tall and of medium build with short black hair.
– He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
Chief Inspector Neil Wright, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Mike’s welfare and we are keen to locate him as soon as possible to check that he is all right.
“I would urge anyone with information as to his whereabouts to please contact us immediately. I am also keen to hear from anybody who comes across the car detailed above.
“Finally I would like to make a direct plea to Mike if you see this – please contact us or your loved ones and let us know where you are as we just want to make sure you are safe.”

Home Security – Be Vigilant

Long summer nights and good weather are upon us but sadly that appears to attract unwelcome viisitors to our area too.  There have been several local reports of attempted and some successful break ins, particularly when tools are left outside or sheds left unlocked.

Please be vigilant!
